Precautions for installation of solar battery

Jun 21, 2022 Leave a message

The installation personnel or engineering team should prepare necessary information such as the record sheet of each manufacturer and the battery installation, as specified in the installation task instructions. They should also have a complete set of installation tools, including a multimeter. Furthermore, the team must adhere to the specified project start date and the installation progress milestones.

Before the installation begins, it is important for the installer or the engineering team to be prepared with necessary spare parts like screws, and also have a detailed installation schedule in hand. It is also essential to have a thorough discussion with the client regarding the project details, which include the mode of installation and the load-bearing situation. This will ensure a smooth installation process and prevent any potential hiccups during the project.

To ensure a safe and efficient installation process for batteries, it is essential that the installation personnel or engineering team undergo proper training. This training should cover the necessary precautions to take during installation, as well as guidelines for battery usage and maintenance. Safety should be paramount at all times during the installation process.

Prior to commencing the installation process, the installer or engineering team will need to conduct a thorough inspection of the battery and its accessories. This includes unpacking the battery and taking inventory of all parts as per the packing list. Once the inventory is complete, the supervisor must sign off on the packing list before it is returned. All accompanying documents, such as the battery installation system diagram, installation and operation instructions and any other pertinent materials found in the accessory box, should be collected and handed over to the designated technical personnel of the communication company upon completion of the installation project.

Review the construction drawings to verify if the battery is located appropriately in the machine room. Evaluate if sufficient maintenance space is allocated, the battery is placed away from any heat sources or potential sparks, such as the fuse box, and if it's positioned under an air conditioner. If any of these requirements are not met, approach the Engineering Department of the communication company for rectification and ensure that there is proper documentation for any modifications made.

Strict adherence to the system diagram of the battery is imperative during the unpacking and removal process. No system parts must be omitted, including the pasting of the battery unit number. Any spare parts used in the process must correspond entirely with the model and specification outlined in the installation diagram. It is crucial to ensure that all system components are thoroughly installed as illustrated in the diagram.

During the installation process, it is important to take precautions to prevent a short circuit. To ensure this, all installation tools must be wrapped with insulating tape. It is noteworthy that the battery is already charged, which makes it even more crucial to handle with care during the installation process.

To ensure proper installation of the connecting strip, it is necessary to first wipe the battery pole, shell, and steel frame with a clean and dry linen cloth. It is vital to ensure that any dust or debris is meticulously removed, particularly on the battery pole. Additionally, it is crucial to firmly attach the designated individual number to the appropriate location on the battery pole before installing the connecting strip.

It is important to check each screw individually to ensure that they have been properly tightened after installation. To accomplish this, it is recommended that a designated individual be appointed to oversee the process and take responsibility for making sure that every screw has been tightened correctly.

Recording the open circuit voltage of all battery cells and the total voltage of the battery pack is an essential step after performing installation inspections. The data must be noted and documented in the installation statistics table (or other similar installation table). This information will help accurately monitor the performance of the battery and its cells. Thus, it is crucial to ensure that this step is carried out effectively and recorded appropriately.

In the event of a mains supply outage post-installation, it is important to disconnect the battery from both the switching power supply and microwave equipment. If for any reason it is not possible to disconnect the connection between the equipment and battery (which is not recommended for prolonged periods), the two sets of batteries should be connected simultaneously; connecting only one set is not permissible. During this connection, the starting time and power consumption of the equipment must be recorded and documented. In any case, the battery pack must be recharged prior to official use. Charging time must be approximately 12 hours, during which time the battery's single voltage should reach 2.35v/piece. Failure to properly charge the battery may result in future malfunctions.
