Pulse Charge Discharge Depolarization Fast Charging Method With Constant Current And Constant Gas Discharge Rate

Jun 19, 2022 Leave a message

The charging method being discussed maintains a consistent amplitude of charging current pulse and air outlet rate throughout the process. Though the charging current at the outset is slightly lower than the battery's initial receiving current, it gradually decreases as the battery accepts the charge. With time, the acceptable current of the battery lessens, causing the charging current to eventually surpass it. As a result, more gas is produced within the battery, causing the outlet rate to increase significantly. The gas detection component senses this and sends a control signal to stop charging and discharge briefly. This removes the polarization within the battery, ensuring that the outgassing rate remains at a low, pre-defined rate. This charging method is used widely across the world, though its implementation in China is scarce due to the absence of gas sensors.
