Stage Constant Current Charging Method

Jun 11, 2022 Leave a message

The stage constant current charging method is a unique charging technique that combines the attributes of constant current and constant voltage charging methods. This method involves charging the battery with a high current at the initial stage of the charging process, which is then reduced after a specific amount of time. Furthermore, the charging current is also decreased during the later stage of the charging process. This distinctive method is characterized by the use of constant current charging with different currents at different stages. The stage constant current charging method usually comprises multiple stages, which are designed to ensure optimal charging performance for the battery.

The phase constant current charging technique is known for its quick charging time and efficient charging results. By using a lower current towards the end of the charging process, there is a reduction in the bubbling of the active substances on the electrode plate, minimizing the shedding of these substances. This method extends the battery's lifespan, saves energy, and ensures thorough charging, making it a mainstream charging method. Typically, the initial stage involves charging the battery at a 10-hour rate current, while the subsequent stage uses a 20-hour rate current. There exist different standards and specific requirements for charging time in each stage, depending on the type of battery.
